VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — One of the suspects charged in an alleged foiled terror plot at a prom in Virginia Beach appeared in court.
Michael Coleman was assigned an attorney during a hearing Monday morning.
He and a 17-year-old face charges conspiring to commit a terroristic act at Bayside High School’s prom — which was earlier this month at the Westin at Town Center.
Police found guns and Coleman’s accomplice in a hotel room there.
Norfolk police arrested Coleman a few days later in connection to a shooting off Azalea Garden Road.
Coleman is expected to be in a Virginia Beach court tomorrow for the alleged terror plot.
