Suspect wanted for Raceway gas station burglary

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – A man used a pink backpack to transport the cigarettes police say he stole from a Raceway gas station.

Hampton Police released surveillance images of the burglary suspect that show he was wearing a purple shirt, gray pants, and carrying the pink bag at the time of the crime.

An alarm at the gas station alerted police around 2:40 a.m. on August 8, but by the time officers arrived at the business in the 1500 block of Armistead Avenue, the suspect had already fled the area.
