Suspect pulls knife on clerk, robs Suffolk Dollar General

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Surveillance video released this week shows the terrifying when moment a man pulled a knife a store clerk.

The video, which was provided by the Suffolk Police Department, stems from a May 10 robbery. Police said officers responded to a robbery call around 8:10 a.m. at a Dollar General on Wilroy Road.

The man is seen in the video pulling out the knife and holding it by his side as the clerk rang him up. He put the knife on the counter after the cash register drawer was opened, appearing to point the blade toward the clerk’s face.

This suspect walked out after the clerk handed over the cash. No one was hurt.
