Suspect pleads guilty to charges in fatal Norfolk shooting

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A man charged with shooting and killing another man in Norfolk’s Young Terrace neighborhood has pleaded guilty to two charges.

Norfolk police said 25-year-old Aaron R. Charles was shot to death on Lincoln Street near Brambleton Avenue in the overnight hours of Aug. 28.

Police arrested 40-year-old Nathaniel L. Williams for the crime one day later.       

On Wednesday, Williams pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and shooting in committing a felony.

A sentencing hearing has been set for March 8, 2019.
