Suffolk Police seeking help in search for aggravated assault suspect

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Suffolk Police are seeking help from the public in locating Byron Franklin Ambrose, Jr.

Ambrose, 30, is now a subject in the investigation of an aggravated assault and robbery.

Suffolk Police say that on the evening of June 11, a 911 call was received around 5:45 p.m. for officers to respond to the Easy Mart located in the 1300 block of East Washington Street. Police say they arrived and spoke to the victim, an adult male, who told police he was robbed at knifepoint and was injured during the assault. The victim’s injuries were not considered life-threatening.

After a preliminary investigation Ambrose was identified as a possible suspect in this case. Anyone with information on the assault that took place is asked to contact Suffolk Police.
