Suffolk police investigating armed robbery at convenience store

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police responded to a convenience store in Suffolk after an armed robbery was reported shortly after midnight on Tuesday.

Police say a preliminary investigation found someone armed with a handgun entered the Ding Wing on E. Washington Street — also known as Tammy’s Kitchen — and took some cash before fleeing.

The suspect was last seen running from the buisness on foot wearing a black hooded jacket, black ski mask, jeans with silver stitches on the pockets and tan boots.
