Students to speak with astronaut on International Space Station from Wallops

News

WATTSVILLE, Va. (WAVY) — There’s an exciting opportunity coming up Thursday for students at NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility on the Eastern Shore.

About 140 members of Virginia Space Coast Scholars, high school and undergraduate NASA interns and students from the Virginia Space Flight Academy will call the International Space Station.

They will get to talk to NASA astronaut Drew Feustel at 10:25 a.m. from the facility’s visitor center, and the call will air live on NASA Television and the agency’s website.

Feustel is part of the Expedition 55 crew, which launched to the ISS in March of 2018 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
