CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Firefighters responded to a house fire Saturday evening in South Norfolk that has left five adults and two children without a home.

Captain Christopher Mackiewicz with the Chesapeake Fire Department said their crew responded to the fire on King Court around 6 p.m.

They were able to contain the majority of the fire damage to the source, with some of the damage affecting the neighboring unit, Mackiewicz said.

There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
