School bus headed to Princess Anne Middle involved in crash

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A school bus headed for Princess Anne Middle School Tuesday morning was involved in a crash with another vehicle, officials say.

There were 14 students on board at the time, according to Lauren Nolasco, director of communications for Virginia Beach City Public Schools. Only the bus driver was injured in the crash.

Dispatchers said the crash happened in the 3000 block of Head River Road just before 9 a.m.

Police spokeswoman Tonya Pierce said the bus driver’s injuries were minor.
