Resident escapes house fire in Chesapeake

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY)- One person escaped a house fire Tuesday morning in the South Nofolk area of Chesapeake, firefighters said. A house on Bainbridge Boulevard caught fire about 12:42 a.m.  Crews from the Chesapeake and Nofolk Fire Departments put out the flames which appeared to come from the front side of the house. 

Investigators are looking for what started the fire.The person living there got out safely and will find another place to stay.
