CURRITUCK COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY)- Crawford Township Volunteer Firefighters rescued a pony stuck upside down between a building and conex box Tuesday.  Crews got help from Lantz Towing to free the animal.

Workers with Southern Hope Animal Rescue & Education found the pony between their hay storage and the barn.  Before they could help him, the pony got stuck and panicked.

The pony ended up on his back while trapped between the two structures.

Crews saved the horse and took him to the vet for swelling.
