NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A regional job fair is being held in Newport News on Tuesday.
City officials said in a news release the job fair is being held to celebrate the dedication of the Four Oaks Day Service Center.
The service center is a former Marine Corps Reserve Center the city acquired to turn into a one-stop location to help homeless men, women and children.
Tuesday’s job fair is being held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the center, which is located at 7401 Warwick Boulevard.
Representatives from a variety of employers — including Amazon, Newport News Waterworks, Smithfield Foods and Top Guard Security — will be on-hand at Tuesday’s fair.
