Rain postpones final inning between Virginia Wesleyan and Berry

News

VIRGINIA BEACH (WAVY) – It figures. Ready to finish up a dramatic game two of the NCAA Super Regional, defending national champion Virginia Wesleyan and Berry College had to retreat to their locker rooms, thanks to Mother Nature.

With the game tied at 6-6, and Berry at the plate looking for a walk-off win, heavy rains forced the game to be postponed. The two will resume play Sunday morning at 9:00 am.

Should Berry take the win, it would force a decisive game three, with the winner advancing to the Division III World Series in Oklahoma City. Should the Marlins win, they’ll advance, and have a chance to defend their crown.
