HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY)- Public works will hold meetings to hear from residents about solid waste fees. Management said fees may need to increase next year to cover collections and disposals not supplemented with tax money.
Public works cites decreasing energy costs, more recycleables worldwide, and the need to invest in technology for a possible fee increase. Meetings to discuss costs will be held on the following dates:
Thursday, March 7, at 6:30 p.m. at Kecoughtan High School
Saturday, March 9 at 9 a.m. at Phoebus High School
Tuesday, March 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Hampton High School
