Portsmouth police hosting event to help teens with response to traffic stops

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — A new event next week is meant to help teen drivers. 

Police police are hosting “Teens and Traffic Stops,” at Churchland High School on Monday morning at 7:25 p.m.

Members of the department will help teen drivers know what to do if they’re pulled over in a traffic stop. 

Police Chief Tonya D. Chapman says its the newest Community Awareness Reduction and Engagement (C.A.R.E.) initiative.
