Portsmouth man shot, walks in 7-Eleven for help

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — A man walked into the 7-Eleven store on Effingham Street for help after he was shot early Sunday morning. 

Portsmouth police say the man was shot in his arm around Chestnut Street and Lincoln Street. He went into the convenience store for help around 6:30 a.m. 

The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
