PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — A portion of High Street in Portsmouth was closed early Monday morning after a power pole and power lines were damaged in a crash.
Portsmouth police said in a tweet at 2:35 a.m. the road was closed in both directions from Elm Avenue to Chestnut Street. Drivers were asked to avoid the area as the closure was expected to last several hours.
The circumstances of the crash were not immediately clear.
