Poqouson homes targeted in recent string of car break-ins

Rash of car break-ins in Suffolk_137289

POQUOSON, Va. (WAVY) — Local police officers are warning residents to lock their vehicles at night due to a recent string of car break-ins.

During the overnight hours, nearly 10 cars were broken into in the Lodge Road and Bunting Lane areas.

Of all the cars broken into, none of them were locked. That’s why police are asking residents in all areas to lock their cars, to prevent theft like this from occurring. They are also asking that valuables be removed from the vehicles, so that if something were to happen, nothing would be lost.

If your vehicle was broken into, please contact the Poquoson Police Department at 757-868-3501 to file a report.
