VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Both Rep. Scott Taylor and challenger Elaine Luria are set to discuss regional environmental issues at an upcoming forum on Monday, Oct. 15 in Virginia Beach
Sponsored by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, the Candidate Forum on the Environment will address sea level rise, offshore drilling, restoration of the Chesapeake Bay, and other topics.
This won’t be a debate between the two candidates for Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District. Each candidate will however take the stage in staggered appearances, according to the CBF.
The forum is free and open to the public, and will take place from 7 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. at the foundation’s Brock Environmental Center at 2663 Marlin Bay Drive. Dr. Quentin Kidd, the director of the Wason Center for Public Policy at Christopher Newport University, will moderate the question and answer session.
There will be a reception prior to the event at 6 p.m. and parking is available near the Brock Center on Marlin Bay Drive.
NOTE: The deadline to register and buy tickets for this event has passed.
