Police: Teenager shot in the foot in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A teenager was injured in a shooting Monday morning in Norfolk, police say.

Norfolk Police Cpl. Will Pickering said the 17-year-old young man was shot in the foot. Officers were called to the scene in the 800 block of E. Virginia Beach Boulevard around 9 a.m.

The teen’s injuries were not life-threatening, Pickering said.

This was the second shooting Norfolk police responded to Monday morning. A man was seriously injured in a shooting on Fenner Street, more than four miles away from this shooting.

Both incidents were reported around the same time.
