NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A 15-year-old girl was injured in a shooting late Monday night that Norfolk police say may have happened on accident.
Norfolk officers responded to the 8100 block of Hampton Boulevard, in the Glenwood Park area, around 11:15 p.m. for a reported gunshot disturbance.
Officers found the teen with a gunshot wound. She was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and is expected to be OK, according to police.
Police said detectives are investigating the incident as a possible accidental shooting that happened inside a home on Glandale Avenue.
