VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia Beach police are investigating a two-vehicle crash Tuesday night involving a truck and a Ford Mustang.

The crash happened in the 3500 block of Holland Road. Dispatchers said they received a call at 10:16 p.m.

Police said someone driving a Nissan Titan on Holland Road turned to the right to avoid a vehicle coming toward him, in an attempt to avoid a collision.

A Ford Mustang hit the front quarter panel on the driver’s side of the Nissan.

Police said the driver of the Mustang was rescued by firefighters, and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Alcohol appeared to have been a factor in the crash, according to police.
