Police: ‘Parking lot altercation’ leads to shooting in York County

YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — Two men were shot Saturday morning in the upper end of York County.

According to a Facebook post from the York County Sheriff’s Office, a citizen reported gunshots were being fired in a parking lot at 455 Merrimac Trail around 12:10 a.m.

Not long after, officers say they were notified about a 24-year-old man and a 19-year-old who arrived at the Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center with gunshot wounds. Neither had life-threatening injuries. 

Investigators believe there was an altercation in the parking lot between several people and multiple shots were fired, injuring the two men.
