Police: Man shot, stabbed in Norfolk home invasion

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A man was shot and stabbed early Wednesday morning in a home invasion, Norfolk police say. 

Police said dispatchers received a call of a gunshot disturbance around 2:30 a.m. in the 2200 block of Courtney Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot and stabbed.

The man was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he is expected to be OK.

Police have not released information on a possible motive or the circumstances of the home invasion. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
