Police: Convenience store robbed at gunpoint in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A convenience store was robbed at gunpoint in Norfolk Tuesday night, police say.

Norfolk police say they received a call around 8 p.m. for a commercial robbery at the Beach Bay Food Mart in the 9500 block of First View Street. 

When officers arrived on scene, the store employee stated that an adult male entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The clerk complied and the suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.

No injuries were reported. Police ask anyone with any information to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
