Police: 3 shot at graduation party in Hampton

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Three people were shot and injured over the weekend at a graduation party in Hampton.

Hampton police say officers were called to an area on Victoria Boulevard just before 9 p.m. Saturday.        

While checking the area, officers were told that two young men, 19 and 20 years old, had arrived at Sentara Careplex. A third victim, a 23-year-old Newport News man, was taken to Riverside Regional Medical Center.         

Police said their injuries were not considered life-threatening.

According to police, there were several people in the area for a graduation party when a vehicle pulled up and someone inside opened fire. The three people who were shot were standing outside.
