NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police in Norfolk believe the same suspect might be behind a string of recent armed robberies.

This image provided by the Norfolk Police Department shows the suspect in a May 29, 2018, armed robbery at a 7-Eleven located at on Tidewater Drive.

According to information provided by Norfolk police Tuesday, the three robberies happened over the course of a week — and within a mile radius next to the Cottage Road Park neighborhood.

The first was reported around 1:45 a.m. on May 21, at a 7-Eleven on E. Little Creek Road.

The second happened at Family Dollar on E. Little Creek Road during the late night hours of May 24.

Police say a clerk was assaulted in a May 29 robbery at a 7-Eleven on Tidewater Drive, suffering injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

In each incident, police say the suspect pulled out a gun and demanded money. Images of the suspected robber in two of the incidents were released on Tuesday — one of which showed a man in a hooded sweatshirt, armed with a handgun.

If you recognize this suspect or know anything about the robberies, call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
