Pedestrian airlifted after being hit by vehicle in Surry County

SURRY COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — A pedestrian was airlifted after being struck by a vehicle Thursday night in Surry County. 

Both the Surry County Sheriff’s Office and Virginia State Police responded to the intersection of Rolfe Highway and New Design Road after dispatchers got the call at 7:42 p.m.

Additional information isn’t available at this time, but Sheriff Carlos Turner said the person struck was stable on the the way to the hospital.
