CHARLOTTE (WAVY) – The all-time leading passer in Old Dominion University history has landed in Charlotte.

Taylor Heinicke, who was released by the Houston Texans on Friday, was picked up by the Carolina Panthers Monday evening, and is now the third quarterback on the roster as offseason workouts begin.

This will be the fourth NFL team Heinicke has landed with. An undrafted free-agent in 2015, Heinicke first signed with the Minnesota Vikings and managed to keep his spot for two seasons, before a very short stint with the New England Patriots.
