NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — One man was seriously hurt in an overnight shooting in Newport News.
Police say it happened near Denbigh Boulevard and Patrick Henry Drive around midnight. The victim, a 24-year-old man, was driving in the area when another vehicle pulled up next to him and began shooting.
Police say the man was hit with gunfire multiple times. He was dropped off at a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Officials say he was transported to another hospital for further treatment.
