SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A woman was found dead on a bus Monday morning in Suffolk.

Officials identified her Wednesday as 32-year-old Jeannie Cannon of Maryland. There is no foul play suspected in her death.

Suffolk spokesman Tim Kelley said officials were notified of Monday’s incident just before 6:15 a.m. Cannon was found on a transport bus in the 2400 block of Holland Road, at a Pilot Travel Center location.

The travel center issued a statement on Monday regarding her death:

The safety and well-being of our Team Members and Guests is always our main concern.

As this is an open investigation, we are cooperating fully with local authorities who are investigating what happened at our Pilot Travel Center #1049 located at 2400 Holland Road in Suffolk, Virginia.

Pilot Flying J is cooperating fully with the local officials, and any further inquiries should be directed to the proper authorities.

The vehicle is not a school bus or connected to Suffolk Transit, according to Kelley.

While there is no foul play suspected in Cannon’s death, police have not released the cause of death.
