GASTON, N.C. (WAVY) – A charter bus went up in flames Wednesday night in Northampton County.
According to Gaston Fire-Rescue-EMS, crews were dispatched to the scene at 8:30 p.m. They arrived to find the vehicle engulfed in fire. Officials said the bus had been parked at the location near Pleasant Hill Road for several years.
There were no injuries reported.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, but they remained on scene for more than an hour investigating.
The fire is believed to be suspicious in nature and is under investigation by Northampton County Sheriff’s Department.
