CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — The North Landing Bridge is back open hours after getting stuck in the open position.
The double swing span bridge connects Chesapeake with Virginia Beach via Mt. Pleasant Road. It typically opens on the hour and half-hour 6 a.m. through 7 p.m.
It is unclear what may have caused the bridge to become stuck. Drivers were cautioned to use an alternate route while the bridge was closed.
