Officials: Knife found on student at Elephant’s Fork Elementary

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A Student at an elementary school in Suffolk was caught with a pocket knife in class earlier this week, officials say. 

Diana Klink, a public information officer for Suffolk, said an officer was informed of the April 8 incident, which happened at Elephant’s Fork Elementary School.

The school’s principal, Jessica Avery, said in a letter sent to parents and guardians that two students told their teacher that another student had a knife. The student handed over the knife.

No one was injured or threatened.
