SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — An investigation is underway after an employee at a Suffolk-area Huddle House was sprayed with mace Monday morning, officials say.
A city spokesperson said dispatchers received a call just after 10:45 a.m. reporting that someone sprayed an employee at the restaurant in 2800 block of Pruden Boulevard and then left.
Fire and Rescue crews responded to the scene and treated the employee.
Officials said 20 to 30 customers and additional employees were in the restaurant at the time, but did not need medical treatment.
Information on a possible suspect and motive were not immediately available.
