Northeastern advances to NC state championship game


ELIZABETH CITY (WAVY) — Northeastern continued its undefeated by defeating Southwest Onslow 47-36 to to win the North Carolina Class 2A regional title.

With the victory, the Eagles advance to the 2A state championship game in Raleigh next Saturday.

Northeastern will be playing in its first state title game in eight years.

The Eagles will face undefeated Reidsville at NC State’s Carter-Finley Stadium.
