NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Gov. Ralph Northam went back to his roots Thursday and taught 11th and 12th grade AP Biology.
The governor’s visit to Norview High School came during Teacher Appreciation Week.
Northam said we’re all working together to have a world class K-12 public education system. He wanted to thank all the teachers and administrators for what they do everyday to shape the young minds of our future.
Northam told 10 On Your Side he enjoyed being back in the classroom.
“I taught a little bit about neuroanatomy and physiology, and finally for about 20 minutes talked about medical ethics,” he said.
Northam taught at Eastern Virginia Medical School for more than 20 years.
