The Norfolk Sheriff’s Office is reminding people they will not call and ask for money.

This reminder comes after multiple people have recently received calls from someone pretending to be “Deputy Miller.”

The fake deputy tells these people they must pay $900 because they have active warrants.

The Sheriff’s Office will not call anyone and tell them they must pay money or turn themselves in.   They urge anyone who receives a suspicious call to call 911 immediately.
