Norfolk Public Schools to hold more hearings on school start times

News

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Officials with Norfolk Public Schools are planning to hold a public hearing Tuesday evening to hear from families about potentially pushing back high school start times.

High school classes begin at 7:25 a.m., but supporters feel a start time after 8:30 a.m. could benefit students.

Tuesday’s hearing is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Ocean View Elementary School.

Another public hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Norview High School starting at 6:30 p.m.
