NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A Norfolk police detective has been placed on administrative duty after he was arrested for allegedly stalking a woman.

Francis Bodner, 50, was arrested Wednesday following an investigation and charged with stalking, possession of stolen property and computer trespassing.
In a press release, police say a woman known to Bodner told them on Tuesday that he stole her property and was stalking her.
Bodner, who’s been with the force since 2005, was released on a $1,000 bond. Police say he’s been relieved of his duty pending the outcome of a criminal trial and administrative investigation.
No other details have been released at this time.
