NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk International Airport has received federal funding that will help with two projects.

The Federal Aviation Administration announced Thursday the airport was awarded a $5.9 million infrastructure grant.

That money will be used to rehabilitate Terminal A, and help the airport build a 5,000 square foot facility where where U.S. Customs and Border Protection will screen passengers from international flights.
