No one injured in Route 58 crash involving wrong way driver


SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A driver going the wrong way on Route 58 in Suffolk caused a crash in the westbound lanes Thursday afternoon. 

According to Suffolk Police, the investigation revealed that around 2 p.m., a driver became confused and ended up driving against traffic on westbound Route 58. The vehicle hit another car near Bob Foeller Drive. 

No one received injuries from the crash, police said. But the wrong way driver did go to the hospital for a medical issue. He received a ticket for reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
