No injuries following house fire in Newport News

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Officials say there were no injuries following a house fire Tuesday in Newport News.

The Newport News Fire Department said on Twitter crews were called to a fire on Stony Drive.

The tweet said the family’s dog was found alive on the second floor. It unclear whether the family was displaced.

Officials have not said what may have caused the fire.
