Neighbors accused of spying on Newport News mother and her children

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Three people were served summonses after a Newport News mother told police that the three were spying on her and her family for nearly a month. 

Concerned for her family’s safety, the 33-year-old mother told officers the neighbors were spying on them and taking pictures between September 27 and October 19. 

She filed a criminal complaint, and officers served the summonses on Sunday.

Officers charged Edgar Gonzalez, 43, Avilmarie Rodriguez, 22, and Iris Hernandez-Acevedo, 43, with peeping tom.
