PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — NCIS is offering a reward for information about recent threats at Norfolk Naval Shipyard.

On Valentine’s Day, there were reports of an active shooter situation at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Those reports ended up being a false alarm.

The false reports of an active shooter came after officials found a threatening message on a bathroom wall. The message prompted an evacuation of the area.

NCIS says it’s offering $1,000 for information that could lead to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the threats.

Anyone with information can call NCIS anonymously at 757-444-7327.
