JACKSONVILLE, Flo. (WTLV) — Jacksonville’s old city hall building was imploded in seconds on Sunday.
The big boom from the falling, 60-year-old building could be heard throughout downtown and in neighboring communities.
The falling debris produced a huge dust cloud that travelled outside of the immediate area because of wind.
Residents and business personnel nearby during the time of the demolition were directed to stay indoors and shelter in place.
The implosion changes Jacksonville’s skyline forever.
