HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) – Cameras from the Ohio Department of Transportation captured a wrong-way driver on I-70 just before a crash that closed the highway for hours.
The crash happened just after 2 a.m. Monday on the eastbound side near state route 202.
Officers say the driver of an SUV was going the wrong way on the highway and hit a semi.
That driver was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with minor injuries. The truck driver was not hurt.
The highway was shut down for several hours after diesel spilled across all three lanes of the interstate.
A sand truck and tow truck were called to the scene to help with clean-up.
