NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – An update from the founder of August Moon Drive-In stated that Nashville’s location is still a priority, but it will open after a location in Pigeon Forge.

Founder Michael Counts posted an update video to YouTube, saying the company just re-signed a letter of intent on the ground lease of what will soon become August Moon.

Counts also said they are looking at other markets beyond Nashville and Pigeon Forge.

The idea for the enclosed drive-in theater was first made known to Nashville in early 2017.

Counts said the company is considering a crowdfunding campaign as work continues, to give more people a chance to get involved in August Moon Drive-In.

Counts also released a new rendering of the potential theater.
