Teens awarded for rescuing their parents from a house fire

WEBB CITY, Mo. (KSNF) – Two teens in Webb City, Missouri have received several life-saving awards after rescuing their parents from a house fire last month.

Carze and Lorie Brown were sleeping when their home caught fire.

Their son and daughter, Laney and Chandler, had just returned home from the store, when they noticed the heavy smoke and flames. They immediately called 911, and tried to alert their parents by banging on the front door and breaking a window.

When Carze heard the noise, he jumped into action – breaking through a window and helping his wife to safety.

Both Carze and Lorie credit their kids for saving their lives.

The Missouri House, Senate and State Fire Marshal agree, and have recognized the siblings with life-saving awards.
