PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (WAVY) — A man with ties to Hampton Roads was arrested Tuesday in connection to a 2017 murder in Philadelphia.

The U.S. Marshals Office said a task force caught 26-year-old Victor Yan after he tried to escape by climbing onto the roof of the home he was hiding at.

Yan was wanted for an October 2018 stabbing death. A warrant for Yan’s arrest was issued in late-February.

In March, authorities said Yan had been spotted at a home on Butrico Court in Chesapeake.
